The highly anticipated multilingual Hindi film “Shantala,” starring Ashlesha Thakur, is set for a pan-India release on November 24th. Thakur, known for her role in Amazon Prime’s acclaimed web series “Family Man,” takes on the lead character in this period drama. Joining her in the lead role is Nihal Kodhaty.
The film’s first song was unveiled by renowned Telugu filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas, who expressed his admiration for the song and extended his best wishes to the entire team. Srinivas’ enthusiasm has further bolstered the team’s confidence in the film’s success.

Originally made in Telugu, “Shantala” is being dubbed and released simultaneously in multiple languages, with preparations in full swing. The film is based on a true story and has generated considerable excitement among the cast and crew.

Actress Ashlesha Thakur dedicated herself to the role by learning Telugu and undergoing Bharatanatyam training specifically for the film. The film’s strong narrative and historical setting have raised expectations among audiences.
Produced under the banner of Indo American Arts, “Shantala” is helmed by producer Dr. Irani Suresh and executive producer Sissu Pedireddy. Veteran filmmaker K.S. Rama Rao serves as a consultant, while R. Ramesh handles cinematography. Sai Madhav Burra has penned the dialogues, and Vishal Chandrashekhar has composed the film’s melodious score. Bhaskar Bhatla, Srimeni, and Krishna Kant have contributed lyrics to the songs.
Nihaal, Vinod Kumar, Veena Nair, Manju Bhargavi, Deepak, Rekha Nirosha, Falguni, Anand Chakrapani, and Shiv Parvati are among the supporting actors alongside Ashlesha Thakur. Sanjay Bhushan Patiyala serves as the film’s promoter.
