“Hangout With God – Is Your God Working for You?” No appointment is needed. Just show up! By Author Santosh Sharma

  1. Can you provide an overview of your book and how it addresses key challenges in the world today?

Hangout with God is about innovation in God and religion through the first principle. It clears the mess around God, creation and life repositioning God for the world driven by mental, emotional and now artificial intelligence.

It is an attempt to take God out from the temples and make God work for you and with you wherever you are and in whatever situation you are in. It answers many of the unanswered fundamental questions which we have conveniently swept under the carpet making life directionless and confusing. The author urges readers not to believe in God but experience God firsthand. Once you do that you will find God is no longer a noun but a verb, an action word. It helps people to manufacture happiness wherever you are with whatever you have.

The key challenges that the book addresses are:

1)    It multiplies your current potential manifolds.

2)    It dissolves the narrow perspectives and boxes making life more interesting and meaningful.

3)    It clears many doubts and unanswered questions regarding God, creation and life giving you a clear purpose.

4)    It makes you a genuine leader, innovator and collaborator.

5)    It helps you manufacture happiness in your day-to-day life.

  1. What inspired you to write this book, and what specific expertise or experiences do you bring to the subject matter?

As a young boy I had many unanswered questions. In the quest to know more and get answers to these questions I have been on an explorative journey in the spiritual, leadership and technology space. I have gone through the Gita and understood about the Bible, Quran and Guru Granth. Still because of my narrow perspectives I could not get the real spirit behind them. But these questions kept my exploration to know the truth and apply the secrets of the Universe in day-to-day life and work.

While climbing the corporate ladder I took a break for 4 years. Pen down my experiences in the form of my first book Next What’s In and then the second book called Dissolve the box. Dissolve the box was taught at some of the IIMs and the ideas were introduced to many IITs and Fortune 500 companies. I started a venture to connect the Gap between Bharat and India after meeting Dr Kalam at his residence. I have seen that I could bring some more smiles to the lives of people. I have been a professor, consultant, entrepreneur, corporate leader and a TEDx speaker.

For my efforts I have been given the:

1)    Social entrepreneur of the Year Award by the Chamber of Commerce

2)    Youth Icon Award of the Youth Day by the Government

3)    Alankaar Award by the Tata Group

4)    CMA Achievers Award by the ICMAI

5)    Star Citizen Award

  1. Could you share some of the most valuable insights or takeaways that readers can expect from your book?

It gets the appointment for the reader to actually hangout with God. Once the reader hangouts with God, s/he will know the obvious secrets which they are unaware of. The book aims to make God work for you and with you in your day-to-day life making life more interesting, purposeful and meaningful. It empowers the reader to live, grow, lead, create and act better. It helps to build a more fulfilling life where you can now manufacture happiness wherever you are with whatever you have. It is very relevant for the 21st century seeker who will go beyond mental intelligence and emotional intelligence to artificial intelligence.

  1. Can you highlight any case studies or real-world examples from your book that illustrate the principles you discuss?

The principles discussed in the book address human beings and therefore they are relevant for a student, professionals, sportsmen, corporate leaders, researchers and a common man. There are many case studies which deal with performance excellence, relationship, love, handling pressure, hell, heaven and many other aspects of life and work.

The book discusses the internal villains that are holding you back and also helps you to increase your area of concern and influence to make you a genuine leader, innovator and creator.

Let me take you through different scenarios: If you have to hit 26 runs in 6 balls, if you have to send your husband for his professional engagement and daughter to school and also have to go to office how do you handle this better, if you have very little ingredients but how you can innovate to still cook tasty food, if you are appearing for an exam how will you handle the peer pressure, if you have taken a high stake decisions what should your decision be based on, if you are not enjoying life what small changes in the way you receive, process and respond to situations will lift your entire life and add more smiles to it, or if you are looking to  start-up on your own how you should think differently. These are only some of the real-life issues that the reader will be able to address more effectively and practically.

  1. Are there any particular challenges you encountered while writing this book, and how did you overcome them?

I took 3 years to write this book but 25 years to build up the foundation. I have put in all my experiences with life but would urge the readers not to believe blindly but embark on their own journey. Experiencing life and truth firsthand is more than believing on someone else’s journey.

I had to simplify the ideas and thoughts to reach out to people at large and therefore, had to keep different personas in mind while writing the book so that we could connect to the larger audience. Being a corporate leader there are always professional commitments and challenges but a simple discipline of writing for one hour daily early in the morning from 5 am to 6 am has helped me to overcome the challenges and charges me for the day ahead. It is a passion for me to write about these experiences so that people need not make the mistakes that I have been doing in my life.

  1. What do you hope readers will gain from reading your book, and how do you envision it making a positive impact on their lives?

The readers will be able to dream bigger and they will be able to make their dreams come true. They can now work with God and have a God Sense that will give them a perspective they have been missing and therefore struggling.  This change in perspective will lead them to change their current life.

I am committed to build a community around the ideas discussed in the book and ensure the ideas actually bring about a change in real life on ground both for the reader and to the community around. The Happy Tribe is aimed to bring about more smiles per person wherever they are with whatever they have. Also, a Pro Humanity group is being built to ensure humans evolve not just with mental, emotional and artificial intelligence but with Universal Intelligence too giving them the intelligence to handle their situations better.

  1. In a rapidly changing environment, how does your book stay relevant and adaptable for readers over time?

The ideas discussed in the book were relevant in the past and will be relevant in the future as we do not only discuss managing change but introduce you to the principles that causes all change to happen. We call it the GOD process or the algorithm that Generates, Operates and Destroys and the secrets governing them so that change is constant. Our present understanding of GOD is static but we propose a dynamic, friendly and witty God that works for the readers.
