Rozlyn Khan is one of the most admired and formidable actresses in the Indian entertainment industry. Be it her glorious and incredible work on-screen in her acting projects or her glamorous and stunning avatars on social media, she’s always a 10/10 everywhere. However, beyond all her style, glamour and talent, what makes her an incredible human being is her real-life victory which she has earned and achieved after showing courage and bravery where it matters the most. Yes, that’s right.
Rozlyn is a stage 4 cancer survivor and she has literally snatched her life back from the jaws of death to be where she is today. Being a stage 4 cancer survivor herself, Rozlyn is very well versed with the disease of cancer, the treatments around it and the post-care involved after the treatment and surgeries. She’s got a vast pool of knowledge on the subject and that’s why, when she found discrepancies in the way actress Hina Khan was talking in the media about her cancer treatment, she didn’t hold herself back from raising a voice against her. Rozlyn had earlier challenged Hina to come out clean about her cancer treatment details and had even challenged Dr. Mandar Nadkarni, who’s a common doctor for both to come out clean on the matter. Rozlyn believes that the way Hina has painted a rosy picture about cancer and it’s treatment is extremely misleading for so many other cancer patients and survivors all over the country who are not blessed with the same privilege. Rozlyn, being a gutsy and fearless personality, didn’t even hesitate to reveal that she strongly believes Hina Khan has bribed everyone around her with lakhs and lakhs of money including her doctor Mandar Nadkarni so that she can use cancer as a form of pr tool for publicity in order to get work out of public sympathy. While Rozlyn has always been vocal about the matter, neither Hina, her or team or Dr. Mandar Nadkarni could respond to Rozlyn’s challenges. But seems like there’s a valiant effort being made to curb Rozlyn’s voice. Yes, that’s right. On being asked more about it, Rozlyn shockingly revealed that off-late, she’s been getting threatening calls. Yes, that’s right. The actress shares,
“It’s extremely sad that in an attempt to extract the truth in public for the interest of the public, I am being subjected to innumerable threat calls which are tormenting by nature. I am receiving calls where people are literally threatening me for my life if I don’t stop raising my voice. From calling me dirty names to people giving me rape threats and things like they will throw acid on me to spoil everything, I have heard everything. This is unbearable for me. I don’t know who these people are and why they are so bothered just because I am raising my voice to find out the truth. I have a feeling that it might be someone from her family or friends. But these calls are certainly taking a toll on my mental health. Being a cancer survivor myself, the least I can ask is validation where I find discrepancies in someone else’s treatment because logically, practically and medically, a lot of things Hina has done after her treatment is just not possible. Is seeking the truth for the sake of so many cancer patients all over the globe a crime? However, what I can say is that I will not bow down to the pressure of these threat calls. They can continue to threaten me but I will stand to my point. Hina has to answer. Being a public figure, she’s answerable for spreading misinformation. That’s all that I know.”
Well, kudos to Rozlyn Khan for showing an immense display of courage and guts, especially when the odds are going against her. Here’s hoping that things work out for her wonderfully at her end and she emerges victorious.
