No Change in Domestic LPG Cylinder Prices for Households

In a New Year surprise, government oil companies have reduced the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders. According to the official website of Indian Oil, the price cut is effective from January 1, 2025, with a reduction of ₹14.50 per cylinder. However, this price drop applies only to commercial LPG cylinders, while the prices of domestic cylinders used in households remain unchanged.

The 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder, commonly used in hotels, restaurants, and sweet shops, will now cost ₹1814 in Delhi. Here’s the updated pricing for other major cities:

  • Kolkata: ₹1911.00
  • Mumbai: ₹1756.00
  • Chennai: ₹1966.00

This reduction comes as a relief after consistent price hikes in recent months. In December 2024, the price of the commercial LPG cylinder increased by ₹16.50, and in November, it rose by ₹62.
