In the ancient land of Aryavarta, where icy peaks touch the burning desert winds, two hearts are bound by a love that challenges the decree of destiny. Trivikrama—a ruler molded by war, honor, and responsibility—and Kautuki—a fierce spirit born of the desert—must confront trials that test their devotion, courage, and souls.
As enemies tighten their grip and alliances crumble, love becomes their greatest strength and their deepest vulnerability. A fugitive’s plunge into dark waters rekindles memories of a love that once promised to heal a fractured realm. Amid murmurs of uprising, prophecy, and treachery, one question persists: Can love truly overcome fate, or will destiny crush it beneath its weight?
Embers of Destiny: The Flames of Aryavarta is a sweeping mythological epic—rich with romance, action, and spiritual depth—now celebrated as an Amazon Bestseller.
1. What sparked the creation of The Broken Flame, and where did the concept originate?
I was raised in a Hindu Brahmin household, immersed in tales of gods, sages, and ancient realms—stories that were more than entertainment; they were lessons about life, dharma, morality, and destiny. My love for religion, mythology, and history shaped how I view love, loss, sacrifice, greed, and redemption.
At the same time, I grew up during the era of Shah Rukh Khan—the undisputed king of romance. His films taught me that when romance is expressed with sincerity and vulnerability, it can move mountains. Around 2017, I decided to merge these two worlds—the spiritual with the emotional, the mythical with the intimate—and that fusion became The Broken Flame, the first book in The Flames of Aryavarta Trilogy.
My goal was to craft a story that didn’t just entertain—it had to resonate deeply, where every emotion carries weight and every truth hides a deeper meaning.
2. The narrative weaves together mythology, romance, and psychological depth so seamlessly. How did you maintain harmony between these elements?
Honestly, the balance emerged naturally as Trivikrama and Kautuki’s path unfolded. Their intense emotional journey intertwined effortlessly with the mythological and spiritual threads of the narrative. Each internal and external conflict reflects the duality within all of us: logic versus longing, duty versus emotion.
3. How did your background and personal experiences influence the characters?
Life has shaped me more than anything else. My own challenges and joys have deepened my understanding of faith, struggle, and resilience. The characters in this story embody those insights—they are flawed, sincere, and fully human. Through them, I explore themes of destiny, free will, and the courage it takes to love against all odds.
4. Aryavarta feels almost alive in the story. How central was world-building to your writing?
World-building was essential. Aryavarta isn’t just a setting—it’s a character in its own right. I wanted readers to feel the desert heat, the mountain frost, and the calm of sacred rivers. The landscape mirrors the characters’ emotional and spiritual battles, creating a world where nature echoes destiny.
5. What message do you hope readers carry with them after reading The Broken Flame?
I hope readers find reflections of their own faith, struggles, and inner battles within these pages. The story emphasizes that destiny isn’t punishment—it’s a design that guides us toward strength and purpose. Pain brings growth, and even in endings, a spark waits to rise again.
