Mallika Sagar can be the auctioneer of IPL

Very few people might know Mallika Sagar, but she has played the role of auctioneer before also. In fact, when the Women’s IPL started last year, its auction was hosted by Mallika Sagar. According to reports, BCCI has asked Mallika Sagar to host the IPL auction, but till now no response has been received from Sagar. If she agrees to BCCI’s request then she will be seen calling the names of the players.

Who is Mallika Sagar?

Mallika Sagar was the auctioneer of the Women’s Premier League earlier this year. Now once again she will be seen playing a role in the WPL 2024 auction to be held in Mumbai on 9 December 2023. Sagar began his career at Christie’s in 2001 after receiving an art history degree from Bryn Mawr College in Philadelphia. Notably, she has become the first auctioneer of Indian origin. Apart from this, she became the first woman in that role at Christie’s. Sagar has also played a role in the Pro Kabaddi League auction in 2021. With this she has become the first woman to organize an auction.
